Does your car key battery need changing?
We can replace your car key, remote or fob battery for a small fee. We also offer a free car key battery testing service at our head office; we will check to see if your transponder is reading and if your car key or remote fob battery is low. 3D Autokeys will always try to give you best cost-effective option to keep you moving.
Although your battery is strong enough to make the light flash unfortunately on most vehicles it will need a minimum of 433MZ to work this is something we can test at our head office.
Some vehicles, such as BMW, MINI and Ford keys and fobs are a sealed unit which means they have a rechargeable battery. Although YouTube is great for 'How To' videos we would strongly advise against opening these types of keys to change the batteries as some customer have found they're unable to start the vehicle, leaving yourself in a sticky situation. We can test the key and the quote as necessary on a new key.
