Work Terms & Conditions


Guarantee

We are pleased to offer a 12 month guarantee on our OEM* services and products. Should the OEM products or repairs that we have provided fail within the 12 months following your service date we will happily come to you to assess the problem.

Our aftermarket products are issued with a 6 month guarantee from the date of service. Should the aftermarket products or repairs that we have provided fail within the 6 months from the date of service we will happily come to you to assess the problem.

Should our technician deem the issue to be a result of a faulty product or workmanship supplied by 3D Autokeys we will replace or repair the product free of charge. The guarantee we provide covers our 50-mile radius. if it is found that the product or repair is not faulty there will be a call out/diagnostics fee applied.

The following exclusions apply to the guarantee:

This guarantee does not cover accidental damage, wear and tear, misuse of the product or any faults arising from any associated faults with the vehicle.

The guarantee does not apply if the key or blade bends or snaps. We advise customers to treat their new vehicle key with care and only for its intended purpose. If used and stored correctly key blades will not bend or snap.

The guarantee does not cover any remote or key issues caused by being used in a worn lock. Worn locks result in extra strain being placed on the key and possible damage to the blade and/or case.

Remote cases are excluded from the 12 months guarantee but are supplied with a 6 month guarantee from date of service.

Call out fees

When providing a new key for a vehicle, if the technician deems the current key to be in full working order and any issues arising are due to a vehicle fault there is an applicable call out charge of £48 including VAT. In this instance the technician will perform a diagnostic check on the vehicle and provide the results to the customer.

If 3D Autokeys attend a recall for work provided and the fault is deemed to be with the vehicle or misuse of the product and not the workmanship provided by 3D Autokeys the aforementioned £48 call out fee will be applicable.

If 3D Autokeys attend to carry out any work and the customer does not want to proceed once the technician is in attendance the £48 call out fee becomes applicable.

Special Orders

To secure an appointment on a vehicle where special-order parts are required, the work must be paid for in full by credit or debit card prior to this part being ordered.

Receipt of payment confirms that you have entered into a contract with 3D Autokeys and you accept our terms & conditions.

Amendments and Cancellations: Please notify us if you have to alter or cancel your booking as soon as possible. We regret that no refund will be made for cancellation requests after the order of any special-order part has been completed.

Non-runner / Lost keys Disclaimer
If the vehicle you require us to carry work on does not have any working keys, we categorise this as a ‘non-runner’. This term means that we have not witnessed the vehicle in a working or ‘running’ state before commencing work.

We cannot guarantee that a new key will program in to a non-running vehicle or that it will start the car even if it does successfully program. There can be many reasons for this, including but not limited to:

• The vehicle having been stood stationary for a period of time

• The vehicle being purchased from an auction with no working keys

• Unknown vehicle history which may include the changing of parts vital to the vehicle’s security

In these instances, the technician will carry out checks on the vehicle and document any damages or concerns he may have, present his findings to you and obtain your permission before beginning work.

Full payment will be required once the technician has handed you a coded key.

If any issues do arise, we expect you as the customer to speak to your local dealership to have the vehicle faults resolved. If the work is not of the standard you expect, or you have been led to believe the faults are a direct cause of the work completed by us, we will then need a detailed report from the dealership so that we can conduct a full investigation.

In cases where a special-order key is required, full payment will need to be taken in advance which will act as your deposit. This is a non-refundable option as the key will be ordered directly from the dealer specifically to your vehicle.

When no keys are present at all you will need to provide supporting documents to the technician including your driving license and V5 document for the vehicle. The names and addresses must match on both documents. Under extenuating circumstances, the office may accept alternative documents at their own discretion, but in such circumstances the office reserves the right for the technician to photograph the documents.

In some cases where a special-order key is required the office may request the above documents via email before the key can be ordered. This is at the request of the dealership and not 3D Autokeys
